Circumstances Surrounding Disappearance

September 2, 2017 at 8:30-9:30 PM - Wallen is last see alive with her boyfriend and father of her 4 month old unborn child, Tyler Tessier at the local Safeway Grocery Store on 3333 Spartan Rd in Olney, Maryland.
9-10 PM Neighbors reported seeing Laura and Tyler at her apartment bringing in groceries, walking the dog and then both leaving in their own car.
Later that night Laura's sister received a text from Laura saying Tessier had bought her unknown location and was unsure why so she sent her a picture of the location.
September 3rd- Investigators believe this is when Wallen was murdered.
September 4th at 8:30 AM - Concerning text message are sent to Wallen's family, LE now believe Tyler sent the text messages.
September 5th- Wallen does not show up for the first day of school at Wilde Lake High School where she works as a social studies teacher.
September 7th- Police locate Wallen's abandoned car at a apartment complex located at 10600 Gramercy Place in Columbia, Maryland

Recovery

September 13, 2017 - Police recover Wallen's remains from shallow grave in a field adjacent to Tessier's friend's private property along 12415 Prices Distillery Road in Damascus, Maryland
Tyler Tessier (9/16/84) has been arrested for the murder of Wallen and their unborn child.
