  • On March 3, 2018 at 1:50 PM 3 siblings, 4-year-old Cameron Wells, 3-year-old Camiyah Fields and  1-year-old Laiyah Well, were inside their father's vehicle when it was car jacked at the Pit Stop, a convenience store on West Galbraith Road in Cincinnati, Ohio.
  • Their father saw the abduction from inside the store and hopped into a witnesses car to follow them.

  • The stolen vehicle with the 3 children inside was later found 3.13 miles in a Walmart parking lot at 10240 Colerain Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio.
  • Howard Mullis, 33 was later found nearby in a wooded area and arrested.

  • Simpson and Trent were later seen at the local Walmart buying personal items and canned goods.

  • Aggravated by the abduction, two concerned Hawkins County residents were checking property owned by one of them when they saw Simpson and Carlie deep in the woods off Debord Road near Hancock County line.​
  • ​Gary Simpson(5/13/58) has been convicted of aggravated kidnapping and sexual battery. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison on April 17, 2017.
